Pharmacology
Aluminum and magnesium are naturally occurring minerals. Aluminum hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide are antacids.
Simethicone allows gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines to come together more easily, which allows for easier passage of gas.
The combination of aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone is used to treat heartburn, acid indigestion, upset stomach, and bloating caused by gas.
Indications
Symptomatic relief from hyper-acidity associated with peptic ulcer, Gastritis, Reflux oesophagitis, heartburn and Flatulence.
Contra-indications
Contra-indicated in individuals sensitive to any ingredient of the formulation.
Patients on low-magnesium diet.
Patients with history of kidney disease.
Precautions/Warnings
Do not use without the prescription or knowledge of a healthcare provider. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine if you have kidney disease or if you are on a low-magnesium diet.
Do not use aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone without medical advice if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Avoid taking other medicines within 2 hours before or after you take aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone. Some antacids can make it harder for your body to absorb certain medicines, especially antibiotics.
Interactions
There may be other drugs that can interact with aluminum hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and simethicone. Tell your doctor about all the prescription and over-the-counter medications you use. This includes vitamins, minerals, herbal products, and drugs prescribed by other doctors. Do not start using a new medication without telling your doctor.

Tablet: Adult 1-2 tablet(s) to be chewed, 3-4 times daily.
Suspension: Adult: 15-30 mL to be taken, 3-4 times daily.
